"Complain" button seems not to work

I have (and I am sure others have) used the complain button a number of times, to report spammers.

More times than not, ET ignores the complaint and leaves the posts untouched, even for screaming spam posts.

It takes away the motivation to report spammers...

Does anyone seriously monitor input from Complain? If not, you should. That is what, we are told, it is for.

Trying to help you here, but some effort on your part would be nice.
 
Wow, one of the things I like about this site is the lack of spam. I have never once seen a post trying to sell me viagra or offer me a mortgage deal. Where's all this spam?
 
To be fair, I have used the complain button and my complaints usually get addressed.

Most recently I did so on some off-topic posts on a thread I started, and the situation was resolved immediately.

I think ET management only takes complaints from those that have not themselves SPAMMED ET with a link to their own fee-based website especially when it took a moderator to get involved to warn the ET member about his own spamming habits (e.g. rcanfiel).
