Compaq Presario M2350NR Wireless Connection Problem

I bought this Laptop yesterday. Can't connect with D-link 524 wireless router. What problem is, as I was told, that there is connection between the builtin wireless card and the router, however, the laptop can't acquire IP address from the router. As I checked, there are packets sent from laptop to router with 0 packets received from router. I called compaq 3 times, did file scan, reinstalled XP home. They have no idea what causes this problem.

I don have another PC with a D-link PCI card connecting to the router wirelessly. So that appears the router does work.

Does anyone have any idea what problem is and hoe to resolve it?
