Company for former History teacher to trade?

Hey All,

I have a retired friend who's getting interested in the market. He was a U.S. History teacher for 30 years, was in law school for a stint, and also studied a bit of economics.

What company or industry would best leverage his experience? I was thinking Fx, because of how history relates to international affairs... but I feel like I could do better.

Thanks,
Keith

History is the past, which does not portend the future. Tell him to invest his stash in a Vanguard index fund and never look back.

Keith, is there any particular reason you are not offering him something similar to what you do?

Might be easier to guide him this way.

Dude, don't encourage your retired teacher friend to speculate in leveraged financial markets. Tell him to take up gardening, art, woodworking, poetry, foreign languages, cooking, chess, online gaming, anything but trading forex.

History? Buy and hold.

Yes... but there's a difference between history and a former history teacher.

I'm in balls deep man... trade tech, quant, algo, hedge funds... way out of his league.

Not sure if there will be any advantages that carry over into trading from history teaching...
I think that there is... but where?

HA! Good comment, I must admit! But there's got to be some corner of the market that's right for him. He's interested!

History? Buy and hold.
Yeah... just yeah.
