It was an authoritarisn milestone presaging the debasement of the currency in the redistribution of wealth. Debasement is theft through inflation on everyone, after preventing anyone from profiting on inflation through the confiscation of gold. Is it any surprise that gold can no longer be located?

You seem confused. Choosing winners and losers is the communist way, rather than letting winners and losers choose themselves. The debasement of currency is where the government chooses winners and losers at the expense of everyone through inflation.
