Common Traits of a Good Trader

Speaking of "gut feeling" and/or "intution"....

I once heard a long time trader say about gut feelings... "When you think you're having one of those, get out of your chair, walk over to the door, and pound your head HARD against the jamb until the feeling goes away".

.
I know you're gonna rail me on this one but.... he just wasn't born with it Scat.
There's many things in this world that lay beyond our everyday conscience existence.
Yeah I know... "vz, stfu already".

I think one of the most important traits for a good trader is to be consistent. You cannot try to trade on and off or every once in a while. It takes time to get better as well as plenty of reading, research and analysis. You need to devote time and energy to it if you hope to do well. It is also important to avoid letting feelings take over when you trade.

Having confidence in your abilities is quite important, but it is also very important to correctly distribute and prescribe your steps.
