Coming to terms with my feelings. Long, sorry.

Quote from RedDuke:

It is not about me not being able to see your point that make your post immature. It is the comparison of Obama to Hitler and a "not yet" suggestion.

While the direction and president are linked, we have a great system of check and balances.

Look at what happened when GOP was in full control after 2002, and the same can be said for Democrats after 2006.

Debate and compromise is what is needed to solve things, not just one party view.

All of the above only matters if we live in a true democracy. I came across various groups of people who believe that Democrats vs Republicans is just a theater for keeping masses under control by few.

Yes, there are plenty of people who believe this.

So it is immature to suggest that Obama could go down the line of a dictator, eh? I'll bet if there were internet forums in the 1930s and 40s, we'd be able to pull up posts by your generational equivalent saying the exact thing about Hitler. "It is so immature to say Hitler is a dictator."

Obama has shown himself willing and able to circumvent "checks and balances" whenever it suited him. There is no reason to suggest he won't do so now.

We don't live in a true Democracy. Not anymore. This is crony capitalism at it's finest.

Hitler achieved adoration from the masses, particularly women. The Third Reich was a fascist state that came to power through false flag attacks such as the Reichstag Fire, and endeavored to pit one group of society against another. It was also a police state through the use of Brownshirts, and Gestapo. Also, the use of propaganda played a crucial role. How do these attributes stack up with the US under Obama, whose term ends in 4 years. Some consider the comparison irrelevant. Ron Paul, who is derided as an old kook in some quarters, says the US is headed down the road to fascism.

Do not make assumptions. You do know what this word consists off? :)

Many of us just surprised about some, who willing to through their families overboard due their voting choice.

+1

An interesting thing that I notice here is that some folks can be quite intelligent but also irrational at the same time.

There are other possible reactions to the crisis of inequality besides fascism. Perhaps we'll go the route of Caesarian reform under Julius, or France under Louis XVI. Or perhaps even elements of our own history in the years following the Gilded Age.

Did all of your other examples have a significant debt overhang? I'm asking honestly, because I do not know without having to look it up.

This post made me smile, as I clearly remember almost identical posts being made while Bush was in the office by the left. He stepped down after his term limit ran out, so will Obama.

4 years will pass and another President will take the office.

Meanwhile, I am planning to enjoy life, my wonderful family and friends, and will try to make a world a better place according to my abilities.

France was heavily indebted under Louis XVI, in part due to helping us winning our Independence.

True. The crisis really didn't come to a head until, once again one of Nature's favorite history changers came along, poor harvests. It's at those times you don't want to be a parasitical money renter, or priest. : )

Dance the summer away, grasshopper. Never mind that winter is coming.

Excellent, then you can quit whining like an 11-year old girl and cease making moral judgments that nobody here is interested in.

Your surprise is due to your extreme naivety. Your English is atrocious and painful to decode and your opinion has the weight of a crack dealer in a back alley.
