Quote from Hoofhearted:
Tsing,
Instead of alienating those you once loved, and who have provided love to you, perhaps you should consider alienating some of the people who claim to be your friend, but constantly bombard your mind and heart with this kind of foul excrement.
If Lucrum crosses the Golden Gate bridge every day to get back and forth to work, do you think he has paid for that bridge himself, and everyone crossing it has un-rightfully taken from him. He certainly paid for not one rusting bolt which prevents him from falling into the ocean's abyss.
He'll likely never admit to being a taker, because someone as cynical as he has taught him his views, and he has never attempted any real thought on his own.
Exile those who you must, but still work to surround yourself with others who may actually have something fresh and helpful to say, rather than those who know little more than the rhetoric that you already know by heart.
I believe you are a good person, and if I've insulted, I apologize whole hearted. Maybe it is time for some pretty drastic change, but take some time for contemplation before making any final decisions you may later regret.

Quote from Tsing Tao:
Your polite responses are noted (and appreciated), but I do not see things the way you do. If we're going to pick on Lucrum (because you posted about him) then let me say a few things.
First, Lucrum says some things on here that I don't always agree with, but he and I share a common belief for where the country should be going. He represents my darker side, and sometimes I wish I could say the things he does. Maybe I'll be able to do so when I truly convince myself to back up the anger I've so generously doled out in this thread. I don't know.
But I think that when Lucrum is referring to what he pays for, in your bridge argument he would be just fine if everyone paid their fair share. Lucrum is not looking for people to pay for something he gets for free, he just wants everyone to pay what they can. Correct me if I incorrectly state your point, Lucrum.
I can listen to Lucrum and my mind automatically dismisses his anger, and I hear what his heart is trying to say because it resonates with me. If he insults someone or something I stand up for, I don't mind all that much. I know the difference between his anger and his intent. It is his intent that I focus on.
Quote from Hoofhearted:
Fair enough. You are obviously a good friend, and Lucrum may be one to you as well. Perhaps it's me that should be giving other's views more time for contemplation before making any decision to counter or ignore.
