Coming to terms with my feelings. Long, sorry.

Isn't this what makes them so fun??

Hah...touche'. I guess I am a hypocrite since I have relied on that aspect of women for good period throughout my single life.

Quote from Lucrum:

Did I say you did, moRon?

Yes, I get it, you can cling to your cognitive dissonance here in ET land. But in the real world, you and people like you are in total disarray.

What to do the GOP a favor? Leave.

Quote from Ricter:

When your creditors begin to lose faith in your ability to pay. Which is different from their faith in your willingness to pay (in case you want to bring up the debt ceiling).

I agree with you on the debt ceiling not being a concern (outside of the aspect that it is yet more evidence of a government not focused on fiscal responsibility). But, being the Keynesian you are, you will likely remove the aspect of being paid in a devaluing currency.

Imagine a president today, standing in front of the masses, and saying, Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country".
I'm just curious how the media would portray that guy.

That was said last night, but in a different way.:)

Quote from Tsing Tao:

Everything you say makes sense, but I cannot get myself to forgive them for their ignorance.
"I live in Washington, DC, and thus have little choice but to associate with many of the vilest liberals you can imagine. You just have to learn to compartmentalize. Don't get into political discussions with them. It is pointless. Fly under their radar."

Words to live by, AAA. I do something very similar. :D

Quote from Ricter:

Every politician probably has to say that, since the public thinks of economics in the same way they think of household finance. I imagine the debt the US government has held since he last time (the only time) it owed nothing has always looked huge, unpayable even, in terms of current income. That's where the debt to GDP ratio is a helpful metric. It does not excuse the debt, but it does put it in perspective.

Edit: and I agree to disagree as well. : )

Perhaps I should just be sorry that I didn't take math in Washington, D.C.
Poor ol' me.
Or maybe I should become a democrat so that I could understand.:p

Always fun chatting with you, brother Riccie.

Would you be happier if instead of discussing temporary government spending to prop up lagging demand I discussed cutting taxes on the middle class [to prop up lagging demand]?

Quote from RCG Trader:

Obama simply told them the truth, which was under girded by a variety of members of the GOP.

Tsing, why don't you just admit that when this became a social fight, the GOP was fukked?

I told you this last summer.

Only fools focused on the social aspect of this campaign and not the fiscal one. And Obama hasn't told "truth" on the fiscal side of things for a long time. All the way back to the 2008 video of him talking about how irresponsible it would be to raise the debt ceiling.

Yes, I get it...
No, you don't.

What to do the GOP a favor? Leave.

"What" to do ET a favor? Leave.

Oh wait... you ARE leaving in about 7 weeks, right?

I currently have no desire to discuss anything economic with you, since I already know your viewpoint on it. I have come to realize (stated in my previous posts in this thread) that there is no convincing you of anything I know to be correct, as you will never accept the possibility you are not correct.

It is a waste of effort.
