What I see is these good people having their work ethics being eroded bit by bit. That is my concern. Some of it is legitimate lack of opportunity, much of it by a government that does more harm than good when it comes to "fixing" things.

Then you have lost.
One of those accomplishments is being elected POTUS....twice.
His accomplishments are inferior for a man who would be president. Of course, he ain't the first. We're definately seeing the Peter Principle at work in our election process.
Lost what? Stop trying to be some sort of political forum Yoda. I'm not trying to win anything anymore, so if you want to prance about yelling how you've won, do it somewhere else. My focus now is inward, making my family stronger and protecting my family. To hell with the rest of the world. They're not getting a fucking red, devalued cent from me anymore.
If anything, "losing" as you call it has been a good thing, as now I can focus my resources and attention where it needs to be focused.
