Coming to terms with my feelings. Long, sorry.

Quote from FightTheFuture:

Disappointed Tuesday that the inevitable collapse could not be slowed down.

I haven't been associating with known socialists for quite some time. They are a selfish lot...
Greed is good, though. Right?

Quote from Tsing Tao:

To say that I am disappointed with the election results would be an understatement.....

You have to keep it in context.

Really, how much of your daily life will be directly affected by who's in the Whitehouse?

Here's the way I look at it. 99% of my success or failure is on me, I don't give a shit who the President is, or who runs congress. Instead of being bitter, just accept it for what it is. The people have spoken.

The thing that puzzels me is that some people, especially the young, obvioulsy voted on issues that were personal to them, whether it was gay rights, womens rights, etc...They really didn't vote for what's in their best interest down the road. I will take comfort in the fact that those young voters will be subsidizing my green fees and martini's in just a few short years. Oh yeah, and FREE health care, even though I'm in 1%.

My attitude is "if they don't care, why should I".

:D

Quote from Tsing Tao:

Well, I still agree that he wants to learn more about the financial implications of where we're going, so I don't agree with your opinion on him, or me being deceived. Just because I think RCG is severely wrong on a number of topics, doesn't mean I include him in the heaps of voters that just voted for Obama because they were caught up in the fashion of it.
Tsing, with regard to RCG, he is honestly delusional. His longer posts are a mish mash of unrelated, incoherent ideas. He has a problem relating thought to reality and often sees the world in terms of fantasy. Other than some attempt at an insult I never see a valid coherent argument in his posts.

Quote from Lucrum:

HORSE SHIT. Idiots waited in line to vote for more free stuff, paid for by the likes of me.

THAT'S the bottom line. And it won't end until bloody revolution.. history repeating once again.

One of those young people you refer to who will be subsidizing everything will be my son. And that is why I stated what I did, and feel the way I do. It has nothing to do with how my day to day life will change.

Quote from Ricter:

Greed is good, though. Right?

Always trying to manipulate time and money out of you while completely capable of helping themselves. They are hoarders. They have plenty, but want to deprive you of what you have.

Quote from Ricter:

That "someone" is half of America and all of the rest of the world.

Absolutely not so. The fact that someone voted for Obama does not relate at all to whether or not they believe him to be moderate. You are implying a link where none exists.

Quote from Spike Trader:

Your logic is flawed because your sons future is your responsibility, not your mothers. Why couldn't you just agree to disagree. She has her own life to live you know and now you've gone and deprived your son of a relationship with his granma.

My logic is sound, even if you do not agree with it. My son has another grandmother who voted against Obama for the sole reason of her grand son. She is also informed and made her decisions accordingly to that knowledge she gained.

I haven't been associating with known socialists for quite some time. They are a selfish lot. Always trying to manipulate time and money out of you while completely capable of helping themselves. They are hoarders. They have plenty, but want to deprive you of what you have. Some of the contact and helping them is unavoidable, like elderly relatives that need help. I do not support MSM, entertainment, leftist charities and businesses run by lefties or those that support lefty causes.

I will remind Republicans that are acting more and more like Democrats of the Founding Fathers' intent. To discuss this with Democrats will always be futile.

It is my purpose to give of myself directly to individuals that will permanently better themselves for it, but i will certainly not enable dependency nor aid those that are trying to prevent me from helping others of my choice.

Excellent post.

Quote from Tsing Tao:

People voted for Obama on faith. They had no evidence to vote otherwise, because the last four years have been an utter failure in every possible manner. Incidentally, that is why I voted for Obama the first time around! Because Bush's last 4 years were an utter failure in every possible manner and a change needed to be made. I was wrong then. What makes me so sure I wasn't wrong this time? Because in the last four years I woke up. I spent large amounts of time in the math. I had the shit scared out of me when I realized where we were going.

As for your video, I am not watching that. I will not watch anything, ever, from Rachael Maddow, and I will not listen to Obama's speech (which is what the photo appears it will be). I bought into the FIRST winning speech 4 years ago and it was all lies. I won't make that mistake again. I didn't even read the transcript.

No, it is not Obama's speech. You want to know why liberals like me voted for Obama. Watch the video.
