Now we need someone out there to unify us.

What is it going to take for everyone to get along? Or perhaps we don't have to get along with each other but make the "thing of ours" (our country) work.

That's all that is missing. A leader.

what's missing Imo is some great project or a few common goals to improve everyone's life.

We had the space race, we had the WPA where many wonderful projects were buillt for the use of everyone. We built canals and railroads, etc. (A few examples)

What's new and exciting we as a country are working on to unite the country?

While I agree with the general ideas of this thread, there is an idea posted by someone else but reinforced by me that I think is so important that I quote myself. Don't get mad, anger may not be productive. See the world as it is and adjust accordingly:

My guess is Tsing Tao is Chinese and his parents came from China and his wife's from Russia. His parents toiled with sweats, bloods and tears to bring him up and this is what he repays to his mother! He is worst than those who voted for Obama.

That is wrong but I'm not going to correct you because TT has said the he doesn't want people speculating and it probably is nobody's business.

I'll just say that he is more qualified to speak about tyranny and oppression than anyone else present.
