Comcast/ router/ IB

I use Comcast as well (its the only cable provider in my area). I have a Motorola modem and Linksys router. Have not had any problems in almost three years of use with one exception. That problem was solved by getting an additional dedicated cable line strictly for data. This was at Comcast's suggestion, and since then, my feed has been rock solid...
 
Thanks for all the info guys. From what I've researched it seems there's more probs w/ comcast in the southeast, where I am. But for what I do, DSL will work if necessary. Wish I had FIOS.

I do think my modem is getting a bit shakey, having to reset more often and hotter. Appreciate all the suggestions.
