Wrong question. No one has to justify owning a gun. At least for the time being, we have a Constitution and its gives us the personal right to keep and bear arms. That's all the justification required. The Supreme Court confirmed exactly that and said that right covers common personal defense firearms, eg AR's and high capacity semi auto pistols.
