Colin Kaepernick Refuses to Stand During National Anthem

This idiot must be a terrible QB. His team just finished 2-14 for the season. Second worst record in the NFL.

He is/was a "one trick pony" that thrived for a short time in Harbaugh's offensive trickery a few years back. Then the league made its adjustments and this guy has been in steady decline.

Navy Sailor Forced to Do Manual Labor as Punishment for Refusing to Stand for National Anthem

Taking a page from football player Colin Kaepernick’s playbook, a former Navy intelligence specialist recently refused to stand for the national anthem during morning colors.

Note that we said “former.” Petty Officer 2nd Class Janaye Ervin was promptly stripped of her security clearance, assigned to menial labor for a few days, then shown the exit hatch.

On Sept. 19, Ervin refused to stand for the anthem while on reserve duty at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii. She claimed she was trying to make a statement about the persecution of blacks in America, the International Business Times reported.

“I just didn’t want to stand at that moment,” Ervin said. “I can’t stand for this song knowing that the song isn’t for me, being black. The song doesn’t represent me at all. To be honest, I never really thought about the flag my entire life, I had no reason to. It’s just a flag.”

We’ll just let you chew on that for a moment.

The next day, Ervin was read her rights before being given a warning about potentially compromising her security clearance — one that she needed for both her civilian and military jobs. Within 24 hours, she was stripped of her clearance and escorted out of her secure workplace.

Ervin claimed she wasn’t informed which order she was violating.

Really? It’s the 10th general order for sentries, which is taught in Navy boot camp. You memorize the 11 general orders until they are burned into your brain. Violation of any one of them is subject to Article 92 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and is subject to whatever punishment is decided by court-martial.

That’s how the military works, and for good reason. Everyone knows it going in.

On Sept. 21, Ervin decided to go public. She posted to Facebook, “The Navy has decided to punish me for defending the Constitution and has taken away my equipment I need to do my Naval job,” according to PopularMilitary.com.

Can you believe this?! wtf. This is so ridiculous it leaves me speechless.
This is what happens when we turn our armed forces into a social experiment for snowflakes.
F'ing disgusting. Dis-honorable discharge for her I hope.

//////In her statement, she goes on to say that “ I made the conscious decision to not stand for the Star Spangled Banner because I feel like a hypocrite, singing about “land of the free” when, I know that only applies to some Americans. I will gladly stand again, when ALL AMERICANS are afforded the same freedom.”////

I'm surprised that this did not get more response. Are you guys getting numbed down or what?
This is disgusting.
This is an active duty service member.
Where's the outrage?!

Now that we voted out the leftist... much of my motivation to point out how bad it was is gone.

these problems in part stems from the leadership above. I believe its all about to change. So the outrage is that so many smart Americans were temporarily stupid enough to vote as they did 4 years ago. Luckily many of them reversed their wrong.

So now the 49ers are giving this tosser an award. Isn't the NFL the same league that charges the military to conduct military honors? They then turn around give this anti-American an award. No wonder ratings are down.

Trump credits his Twitter wrath for Kaepernick's unemployment
http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/20/politics/donald-trump-colin-kaepernick/index.html

President Donald Trump veered off message Monday night at a campaign-style rally aimed largely at pushing for the Republican health care overhaul to take credit for a completely different issue: keeping former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick out of a job.

While talking to the crowd in Louisville, Kentucky, about the nation's urban communities, Trump swerved in midstream and cited a report that NFL owners were avoiding hiring Kaepernick because they did not want to face Trump's Twitter wrath.

"Our inner cities will find a rebirth of hope, safety and opportunity," Trump said before bringing up Kaepernick's free agency. "Your San Francisco quarterback, I'm sure nobody ever heard of him."

Then the President clarified he was citing an article he had read.

"It was reported that NFL owners don't want to pick him up because they don't want to get a nasty tweet from Donald Trump," he said. "Do you believe that? I just saw that. I just saw that."

Kaepernick opted out of his contract earlier this month following a season in which he drew significant attention -- and criticism from some quarters -- for kneeling during the national anthem before kickoff at his games to protest racism and police brutality.

The NFL should suspend and fine Kaepernick.

And what does this have to do with NFL action on Kaepernick.

I stick by my statement at the time -- "The NFL should suspend and fine Kaepernick."

As a private employer any employee who disrupts your operations or upsets your customers should face disciplinary action.

Same employer mindset should apply to any employee involved in illegal activity.... like the insurrectionists in D.C.

NFL allowed players to kneel if they wanted to.... he did not really disrupt their operations simply by kneeling..they still played football every game.

Kneeling was not an illegal activity or even against NFL rules.
