Colin Kaepernick Refuses to Stand During National Anthem

Id spit in Colin's face if I saw him in the street. He's a bum. Go back to Africa shit head[/
He's pussy whipped, his GF is big into BLM, he was adopted by white parents..Id love to see you try and spit in his face especially hiding up in Canada behind the Internet.

I did not get the sense they were holding his money against him. I to got the sense they were saying how ridiculous it is for him to protest a system as being oppressive when it allows him (or anyone else) to earn that beautiful house.
But that still misses the point, doesn't it? People like him are the exception to the rule whereas he was protesting how his brethren were being treated in the aggregate. He wasn't speaking up for the lucky exceptions. You can disagree with him if you like, but his making a lot of money is completely beside the point he was making. So all that excess outrage is rather misdirected.

I'm sure that would work out well for you.

Actually I was able to get a picture of achilles28:

He would need a step ladder to spit in a rabbit's face.

I'm OK with it. Whatever. That's what the flag should stand for, viz., his right not to stand. But then I'm one of a very few true libertarians here. I would not be OK with him not playing to the best of his ability. But I assume he does.

Perhaps in Stalin's Soviet Union those who did not stand when expected to got shot. I prefer freedom.

A reasonable case can possibly be made for having some of his Constitutional freedoms curtailed while on the job. I haven't thought that through.

Blacks are oppressed in America? Ha! They've been given TONS more than they deserve thanks to "white guilt". Where in the world are blacks generally better off than in America?

He's an idiot!

You guys seem to have an inability to think things through. Personally, I don't much go for symbolism one way or the other. It's a cheap way to score points, whether you decide to sit or stand.

However, if anything, the money he makes is the last thing that should be held against him if you choose to hold something against him. He purportedly chose not to stand not for himself but rather for his black brethren who have less of a voice. And he did so at some personal risk, again assuming the story and his rationale are indeed as presented. That makes his act rather selfless, by definition.

So while your collective sensibilities may have been offended, which is your right, you ought to try and make sure that your reason for feeling all that extra, over-the-top outrage is a coherent one.
He takes no risk at all. The man is a millionaire many times over. If he is fired today and never collects another check from the NFL, or anyone else, he should live a very comfortable life. If not, it's his own fault. A risk would be if he were an ten dollar an hour Joe LunchBucket employee working for a company that had a policy of not taking political positions on company time. That type of individual, while I may not agree with whatever position he was taking, would be deserving of some respect. Colin is a punk, spoiled and privileged, who is most likely laying the excuse making groundwork for his less than bright future prospects due to his mediocre performance on the field.
What he is protesting no longer exists. He, and others of his ilk, are protesting a wrong headed idea that there is institutional racism, especially and specifically among police departments. There is no institutional racism. Individuals on occasion, yes, but institutionally, no.

Colin Kapernick: Hillary Clinton Would Be In Prison If She Was Any Other Person

so, do you like him now?
He's wrong on Trump. Right on Clinton. My respect level went up for him a notch. Okay. I wont spit on him. He's a douche. But a curious douche who may redeem himself.
