cold feet after a successful period

Are you a trader or not??

If you are then get back on your horse and ride it – otherwise go find another hobby

It can be no other way

At some point in April, I lost %25 of the portfolio . Coincidentally after one week it went back to a new high. But it was a bad experience. I remember comparing my monthly income from day job to the loss and hating myself :-(

now i am making a reading list about the topic.

should have never have loss 25%

Good, simple advice, yet hard to actually do in my opinion. But if you are not able to do it, in my book you are not a professional.

On a side note, do you believe someone can become a successful trader if it is merely a hobby to them?

Sounds like wise words,ken10;
more reading......A 25 %% draWdown sounds fine; but do NOT compare monthy income to a monthly business loss.

MUCH MORE TROUBLING TO ME WAS YOUR stock ''break even''FOR 10 YEARS .
I had a much bigger draWdown+ loss than 25% my first year.I would not trade derivatives @all until i found out why a break even eocured , for 10 years; if you are gong with the main trend, most likely too much trading -commissions. Good question
