Colbert's Shocking Attack on Trump Leaves Media Stumbling

You'd think this snowflake thread would have melted by now...

It's a bit surprising that someone as intelligent as you are does not seem to recognize the difference between something legitimately repulsive, eg Colbert's and Maher's remarks, and the sort of bizarre triggering incidents that gave rise to the snowflake term. For example, students were supposedly traumatized by seeing the word "Trump" chalked on sidewalks. Snowflakes were "literally shaking" in the aftermath of the election. I could go on.

You may feel it is appropriate for an idiot on national TV to say that Trump sucks Putin's cock or for a nutcase like Maher to suggest that Ivanka sucks Trump's dick. Normal people do not agree, and we feel we have the right to demand a higher standard.

But when "performance artist" Alex Jones fabricates a story of Hillary Clinton running a child sex-abuse ring through a pizza restaurant and calling her the devil, that's okay? Where was your outrage then?

Remember when Ted Nugent told Obama to suck on his machinegun and called Hillary Clinton a worthless bitch? Where were you then?

And when President Trump insults a respected journalist to his face and calls his show "Deface the Nation," and refuses to answer the most basic of questions repeatedly, dismissively and utterly disrespectfully, that's okay? It wasn't okay for Colbert, which is why he said what he did. Trump deserves no more respect that he gives.

He alienates his allies and sucks up to dictators around the globe and that's okay?

Trump is now president and yet he continues to hold rallies with his "us against them" theme. He is even more divisive now than when he was a presidential candidate. Trump has brought everything on himself. He deserves to be ridiculed for the thuggish "leader" he is.

There's a difference between on the internet and on the federally regulated airwaves. Try thinking for a change?

And your continual referencing to trump sucking up to dictators is amusing, too, given your lecture to me on the demons showing themselves. When are you planning on evoking the imagery of trumps hands/small dick again? Is your inner homo seeping out?

How's this for sucking up to dictators?

That didn't seem to bother you, nor did hillary clinton selling access to the white house to the worst sort of dictators for bribes to her family foundation.
Why not, I wonder?

I am relatively sure that if Alex Jones had a network TV show and said some of the stuff he has, he would have been fired the next morning, no matter what his ratings were. You know, like Billy Bush was for having the bad luck to record a conversation with Trump. The funny thing was, Bush got fired for something Trump said. Seems a bit unfair. it was a proxy firing. They couldn't fire Trump, so they fired Bush in his place.
