Ahhhh the good old days when CNN read the news...not had 5 hours of people giving their opinion on the news....
That is the challenge. There just isn't enough actual news to be broadcasting 24/7/365. Eventually they have to start talking shit and it's all downhill from there.
CNN formerly did a good job with their hour long in-depth segments that would cover a story in great detail. But they moved away from that --- just like all the other networks -- to have news hosts offer endless hours of opinion & commentary.
It was a good model, but could never last. Just can't fill that much time all day every single day with good content. We simply don't need 24/7 news, it's too much useless info, most of it misleading and politically bias misinformation now days. The entire society suffers from TMI, mostly "managed" information, and we're all dumber for it.
Trevor Noah covers and mocks CNN+ at the beginning of his segment. Can you believe CNN blew $300 Million on this fiasco.

For the number 1 US purveyors of lies and disinformation 24/7, CNN can teach the propaganda writers of China and Russia a thing or two. Hacks are plentiful too, taking turns spewing the same lies and disinformation 24/7 like reading from a script?
Probably 90% of the population and pundits said there would be no appetite for 24/7 news all day long. Ted Turner rejected that and went forward anyway, and moved into international news too. Before CNN, the news was something that you watched when you got home from work, and international news consisted of some limited war correspondence. So, he was cooking with some new ingredients there and all the risks and naysayers that went with it.
Just an extension of the DNC now.
I expect to be seeing some of these people at MAGA rallies chanting "CNN SUCKS."

Anyone with a brain could have known this was a fail from the beginning... sucks for her uprooting to come to NY for a premium channel of news and bullshit when all of that is available for free.
Be careful about saying that a skin color person does not have a brain.
