So when push comes to shove, CNN takes the Stalinist approach. Like anyone could be surprised!
And notice the last part of the story. It states that the paper documents were discarded in 2001. But, but we've been told that Hawaii confirmed that he had a valid birth certificate. They said they SAW IT!
Well, if they can SEE this paperless document, it's really no excuse for Obama to not let us SEE it, either.

They didn't throw the documents away. They were scanned electronically.
The data is still there from the orginal however Obama is not above paying someone off to alter it.
The necessary legal documents were provided well over a year ago. The certificate of live birth is regarded as a birth certificate. End of story.

The burden of proof is on Obama and its well documented that the image he put on the internet is a fraud.
Go look it up. Go to You Tube. Search on Obama's fake birth certificate.
Shouldn't the burden of proof be on him to prove he is qualified? Typically our laws do not impose the obligation to prove a negative, ie that he was not born in the US It's usually fairly easy to substantiate where one was born. Given the complicated situation surrounding Obama's mother and father, there are legitimate questions that he has not really put to rest.
One has to ignore several facts to label the skeptics as crazy. One, Obama's mother traveled to Kenya when late in pregnancy, apparently after discovering that Obama's father was already married and had a family there. There have been varying reports about where she went upon returning from Kenya. Two, Obama's grandmother in Kenya was apparently quoted as saying she recalled his birth in Kenya. No doubt she did not appreciate the significance of her statement when it was made. Three, a writer did go to Kenya during the campaign to try to dig up the truth. he was arrested and kicked out of the country on bogus grounds, suggesting the authorities knew there was something to hide.

State declares Obama birth certificate genuine
HONOLULU- State officials say there's no doubt Barack Obama was born in Hawaii.
Health Department Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said Friday she and the registrar of vital statistics, Alvin Onaka, have personally verified that the health department holds Obama's original birth certificate.
Fukino says that no state official, including Republican Gov. Linda Lingle, ever instructed that Obama's certificate be handled differently.
She says state law bars release of a certified birth certificate to anyone who does not have a tangible interest.

Earlier Friday, a southwest Ohio magistrate rejected a challenge to Obama's citizenship. Judges in Seattle and Philadelphia recently dismissed similar suits.
Opponents asserted that Hawaiian officials had not explicitly addressed the fact that Obama was born in Hawaii, and pointed to a provision of Hawaiian law that permits the issuance of certifications of live birth to those born outside the state or even outside the country. However, the suggestion that this could have applied to Obama was rejected by Janice Okubo, director of communications for the Hawaii Department of Health: "If you were born in Bali, for example, you could get a certificate from the state of Hawaii saying you were born in Bali. You could not get a certificate saying you were born in Honolulu. The state has to verify a fact like that for it to appear on the certificate."[26]
