Im not even sure CNN is doing what is best for themselves in this case though either, i was more than willing to tune into CNN until the last few months, if you look at the book marks that are my top book marks on my screen, you will see i have 2 liberal sources, (Mediaite, and Huffington post) 2 conservative sites (drudge, and breitbart) then realclearpolitics, which i find to be the most bipartisan site on the net.
Realclearpolitics has been very good about sticking to the center, and the funny thing is it has resulted in tons and tons and tons of conservatives posters going to their site, simply cause they are the closest conservatives can get to center and still see both sides, Real clearpolitics lists all the best articles on both sides, so it serves as a very good guage, they seemed to have made a very conscious decision of trying to stay balanced, on every subject you will find a pro trump side, with an anti trump side linked right below it, so you always get both sides of the argument.
I used to tune into CNN even though i knew they were left leaning, but they went so far off the deepend, i simply refuse to support them anymore, either admit you are MSNBC, or fuck off.
I: have no problem going to left wing sources, i like seeing both sides to every argument, and frankly i find alot of agreement with liberals in certain areas. But i would rather go to huffington post where they are unabashedly liberal than listen to a bunch of blowhards on CNN who think they are bipartisan arbiters of truth, i simply wont support those people anymore.
I think what CNN has done is jump off a cliff, this wont be the death of them per say, i.e. they wont go to zero, but the Trump era will end at some point, and they will no longer have any credibility as a straight down the line news network at that point, and then they will have to fight with MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, and every other news network for an audience that is only consumed by news in the era of Trump, it will be very bad for business once Trump is gone they are just another liberal network among the dozens that already exist, and young people dont tune in too news, this is why places like Fox news smoke them for viewership, they are the only one, and older people watch more news, and tend to be more conservative.
I used to think they were one of the closer ones to center and used to read them and watch them all the time, but i made the conscious decision to simply change the channel, now the only time i see their videos is when i see it at a news aggregator where i have an ad blocker so they now make nothing off of me.
