Scat's partly right and partly wrong. Blacks don't have it easier is the wrong part. The right part is if they do what's required to be successful they will be more successful. There are two problems that I see with the black community. The first and the one that's been with us the longest is racism like you see with many on this board, and there isn't much anyone can do about those people, they will die eventually. The second problem the blacks have control over. They have to change the social structure. Women and children need husbands and fathers who work and take care of their families. They don't have to be prosperous or successful but they do have to be responsible and hard working. The challenge for them and us is how to get there from here. A teenage boy growing up in the projects is a large city with no dad or personal examples of how to live a life has the cards stacked against him. Maybe making examples and glorifying the winners instead of the losers would help. It is all of our problem though and it's obvious to me the policies and attitudes we're using now aren't working so it's time to try something else.
