A thought, Paul, if you like him or not is always the same. Even though he doesn't represent either side, it might be interesting if he was elected. Then congress might function better. Both sides would know he would veto every bill they sent up, so both sides would be forced to work on the issues together to get the super majority to override Paul's veto.
Your point about Ron Paul is excellent.
Problem is that it requires far too much brain power for the average voter to consider.
