CNN blackmails reddit user who created the Trump Gif.

Read the article. You will also find out they incorrectly attributed a quote to Benjamin Franklin on he same day.
And I will ask you again. YOU write what the actual quotes were for BOTH Lincoln and Franklin. Let's compare and see how egregious the alleged errors were.

Over the top much? You may like this little piggy, but it ain't gonna fly.

I won't go so much to say CNN did anything illegal here (they do have 1st amendment rights after all), but they're bordering on infringing on someone else's. I do think it was highly unethical and at the very least this writer's head should roll, and his editor demoted.

No, they should have just identified the dick who repeatedly posted bigoted content, including about CNN's own journalists. It is within the purview of investigative reporting. Or do repeat offenders have a "safe space?"

The video was not racist. You want to out this guy just because you don't like his comments previous to the posting of this video? Really? You don't think that is oppression of free speech? You don't think that opens up a whole can of worms when one side or the other can openly target people with whom they disagree for potential violent retaliation? You're okay with the very connected and heavy hand of the media can put a target on a persons back simply because that person made fun of them? Com'on Fred, lets not go full tilt crazy.

This right here. The left lost their shit (and rightfully so) when that Treyvon's kid & that other black guy that had robbed a convenience store minutes prior got shot. The outrage was justified as the past behavior was separate from the incident at hand, and the media was besmirching their name over past transgressions. Let's try to stay consistent about the outrage.

But it absolutely is not. The content creator and his link to reprehensible actions have no weight in the scandal because the content was not race based. It'd be like me trying to discredit Nazi scientists who won the Nobel prize on the grounds that they were racists, even if their science is sound.

WTF kind of a comparison is that? The CNN video was not race-based, but it was as unfriendly as it was funny to some. This on top of other attacks against CNN's people. So the attacks were ongoing against the news organization. When is enough finally enough? CNN doesn't have to remain a kicking post to please the likes of the alt-right. And it didn't threaten him with anything other than mere ownership of his own content. (He is not a protected source.) Straw meet camel.
