CNN blackmails reddit user who created the Trump Gif.

No, its not all the same thing, thats the whole point im trying to make, the point you seem to keep missing.

This weekend i went golfing and fishing with a few other guys, during the weekend we made lots of jokes about each others golf shots, or each others casts while we were fishing, something along the lines of "You like to put from the rough" if someone was putting from the rough. ( a question on each others manliness/sexuality)

Thats the kind of joke i would feel perfectly comfortable making among friends, questioning another guys manliness, or straightness is not something new when a bunch of dudes get together. I know these guys arent gay, sorry to say but thats how guys act with each other.

If you walked into a hockey room, or any liberal newscaster walked into a hockey dressing room, you would think everyone was a homophobe.

The truth is over time i learned to bite my tongue with a comment like that, we used to all call each other faggots, but that was also a term of endearment, as much as an insult back then, i would call someone and be like "Whats up you faggot" or someone would call me and say the same kind of thing.

I learned later in life, by having a few people i played hockey with coming out as homosexuals how that was not right, so should my whole life be ruined because i was conforming to what every single person talked like playing hockey growing up?

My own friends who are homosexuals dont seem to think im a homophobe, but im pretty sure if everything i ever said was posted to millions of people id never find a job again. Do you think thats right?

Have you never questioned a guys manliness when your among friends, and you know that no one you are with is gay?

We have also made lots of jokes about each others ethnicities, you dirty wop, i always get called a nazi cause im german, etc, etc, but its all in good fun, context is everything. Ive had friends joke about me being a fat fuck and ive joked about them being a skinny bastard, the point is we all know each other and we are willing to make those kinds of jokes about each other, its funny, cause its soo offside, thats what makes the joke.

You are acting incredibly disingenous here dude.
Joking with a couple of buddies is not the same as reaching a far wider audience on the Internet. You can presumably trust your buddies to keep your off-color jokes to themselves. The Internet is a public square. How many times have people been warned that anonymity on the Internet is a precarious thing? So he knew he was playing with fire. This self-named asshole, who also repeatedly posted racist commentary, is a middle aged guy who should have know better. And now he does.

Dude.

Once again the left proves, by there actions not their empty rhetoric, that they are the greatest threat to freedom. Oh how they love to TALK about freedom of speech, freedom of expression, freedom to disagree, but put into actual practice they fall mighty short of those high minded ideals.
Who's restricting the idiot's freedom? He can do and say as he pleases. No one will take legal action or restrict his "speech." He will simply get to own what he said. As it should be.

I know you're not so obtuse as to not realize the gravity of this threat which means you're just circling the wagons around your favorite news outlet. That's fine, everyone is entitled and we all must eventually choose a side in this battle for truth. All I know is when a multi-billion dollar corporation, one of the most powerful media outlets in the world, when that outfit decides to commit resources to take down and individual simply because they didn't like what he wrote on an internet message board, we should all take pause. Considering this is the same organization that has be shown time and again to be playing fast and loose with the facts, has lowered itself into engaging in some schoolyard pissing contest with the current administration, and now decides to crush a piss ant with a steamroller, that organization is a threat to everything it is supposed to be protecting. The media is given great power and a awesome responsibility through the 1st amendment. This organization, CNN, has abused this power time and again. The FCC should pull their license to broadcast. They are no longer rational enough conduct themselves in a professional manner.

take down an individual
By merely identifying him? After he had repeatedly posted racially motivated material about its own employees, and then a video that went viral and which sends the wrong message to everyone and especially the mentally vulnerable? Please don't go obtuse snowflake on me, Captain.
