The video was offensive. They looked into the user and also found that he was a racist troll who also targeted CNN journalists. They did the right thing. If anything, they spared him by not immediately disclosing his identity. I would not have been so accommodating.

Only a snowflake thinks it is offensive. If the logo was Fox News instead of CNN, you would think it was funny. Your entire life is an exercise in hypocrisy.

The real problem with taking on trolls in the basement of Reddit for CNN is that the Reddit community does not put up with mainstream media threatening them... and the typical response is to Dox the employees of the media network... handing out confidential information on the employees such as their cell phone number, home addresses, unknown social media handles, etc.

The response of CNN is not an example of "a responsible employer to take care of its own" -- it actually places the employees at CNN in a very exposed position.

Not only that, it made these guys go even harder on the CNN memes, now there is a million of them on youtube, once they knew they got CNN's goat, they proceeded to produce more and more and more, its just a bad strategy all around.

CNN is a multi billion (I think) organisation, taking on some random user on the internet to get back at Trump just looks ridiculous, im sure they get alot worse than a star of David posted over their broadcasters head on a daily basis.

It doesnt condone this guys post, but who among us couldnt get ruined in a heartbeat if someone like CNN was to expose every single bad thing we have ever posted on the internet.

I havent made racist statements, but ive made jokes about peoples mothers, all kinds of bullshit, both are probably equally abhorrent. I try not to anymore, I tried to grow up, but when i was a kid i used to get into those kinds of bullshit pissing contests all the time. But im pretty sure if a multi billion dollar corporation Doxed me it wouldnt be pretty for me either, can you honestly say youve been such a saint, that if you made a joke that the president suddenly picked up, you would have no problem with a full blown news site blasting all of your personal information, and everything you have ever said to millions and millions of people?

All CNN had to do is reveal the posts of Mr. HanAssholeSolo, (love the name), as the source of the video and write that considering the content of his posts, which they could leave to the reader to decide, they aren't surprised that Trump, who they considered to be an adolescent minded fool would pick up on such non-sense. That would have been a victory for them in this silly back and forth they have with Prez Trump. No, instead they decided to go all mobster on this dude and that is where they lost the battle turning potential victory into defeat.

Even that though, was simply an attempt at character assasination, do you think Trump went and figured out who posted the meme, and then because the creator was anti semitic he decided to post it? The whole thing was an attempt by CNN to link Trump to anti semitism, which is pretty ridiculous considering the 2 people he appears to be closest to are both Jewish. This is just awful on its face from every single angle.

The post had nothing to do with anti semitistm, absolutely zero, any attempt to link it to antisemitism to begin with was simply an attempt at character assasination, an obvious ploy from CNN, compile it with everything they did afterwords, and it just makes them look even dumber.
