CNN blackmails reddit user who created the Trump Gif.

CNN threatens to post personal information about some random reddit user if he doesnt stick to his apology, this is what the network has now degraded into.

#CNNBlackmail Trending After CNN Reports On Reddit User Behind Trump’s Wrestling Tweet

Late on Tuesday, #CNNBlackmail became the biggest trending hashtag on Twitter after the anonymous Redditor who created the gif of President Trump wrestling the CNN logo issued an apology.

During the holiday, CNN’s Andrew Kaczynski, published an article called “How CNN Found the Reddit User Behind the Trump Wrestling GIF.” In it, he notes that Reddit user HanAssholeSolo issued an apology “one day after CNN identified the man behind the account and attempted to make contact with him.”

Kacyzenski, a reporter of CNN’s KFile division, went into detail as to how they tracked him down.

“Using identifying information that “HanA**holeSolo” posted on Reddit, KFile was able to determine key biographical details, to find the man’s name using a Facebook search and ultimately corroborate details he had made available on Reddit,” he writes.

These two paragraphs, however, caught the attention of many:

CNN is not publishing “HanA**holeSolo’s” name because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again. In addition, he said his statement could serve as an example to others not to do the same.

CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change.

That last line was seen by CNN’s detractors as something akin to “blackmail,” and the Twitter reaction was strong.

A multi-billion dollar TV network blackmailing a private citizen into not making funny videos about it is not journalism, CNN. #CNNBlackmail

CNN gets punked again. These dopes can't do anything right. Out of one side of their pie holes they say the president is immature and thin skinned. Out of the other side they make threats to some kid who made fun of them in some amateur video. As this evolves I am more inclined to believe that the war of words between Trump and this adolescent minded "news outlet" is just Trump exposing these juvenile delinquents for the frauds that they are.

I'll admit I found the meme hilarious. The whole thing has been blown out of proportion; this thing of finding the originator along with his post history and painting him a racist was BS(whether true or not).

However I've only found reference to this so called blackmail on Murdoch's New York Post so I'll have to call fake news until reported by a reputable source. The giveaway was the amateurish writing of the so-called threat.

Ok, nevermind, just read the CNN article and they can get fuked for all I care. The irony here it's the meme was showcasing a figurative smack down and now they're gonna get smacked down because they made such a fuss over it. It's the Malaysian flight all over again.

What a great time to be alive. Trump has a genius for trolling that is unmatched. Maybe Baron does it for him, who knows.

He trolled CNN and they fell for it, hook, line and sinker. Hours of preposterous handwringing by their moronic talkers, all to the immense amusement of Trump supporters.

Now they manage to screw themselves even worse by this outright thuggery. A coerced apology and a warning that Big Brother will be watching future posts for unPC content. This actually approaches the legal definition of extortion. Threatening to dox someone unless they toe the line.

If anyone needed to be reminded why we despise the media, they provided the evidence. The thing that is so insulting is they are smugly patting themselves on the back. Obviously their entire senior management must be fired immediately if they are to retain even a shred of respect.

Meanwhile the lying liars who lie at Fox continue to get a pass?

Everyone knows fox isn't news, it's ridiculous to hold them to any ethical standard, it's like expecting Breitbart to behave like the Times. If CNN wants to be taken seriously they need to find legitimate stories to latch onto, of which Trump has plenty.

This whole notion of handing journalism to bloggers with an axe to grind and no editorial oversight may be profitable but renders nothing of value. Clinging to a non-story is lazy and I'd rather they put nothing out or branch out to entertainment if this is the garbage they're chasing.
