the poofter on cnbs just said he was stunned that at least 25% of all deals were frontrun in the options market.

I think he should be fired for admitting incompetence.

I think they are not familiar with the British term "poofter" ... meaning a gay man. It's just like saying fag in the US.

Fag in Britain means cigarette.

I had a British tech guy come and help me with an install once. He said he was going out to "smoke a fag." I was speechless.

I had to laugh......and adding to the lingo....
when you thought he was going out to "smoke" were you thinking....

a) Gangster talk - he is going to kill someone.

c) Normal talk - smoke a cigarette
