CNBC gurus. How bad are they?

I love your expose'. I try and explain the same thing to my relative. She has 5% fees per year and on a good year the make 7-8%. She never looks at the load or maintenance.

another for today on cnbc right now. bob olstein. i used to love watching bob. everything he said makes sense. he seemed to be a smart fundamental guy. so how is it working out:

Trailing returns
1 day +1.19%

1 week +1.29%

4 week +4.76%

3 month +3.97%

YTD +1.76%

1 year +68.02%

3 years*
-9.10%
5 years*
-2.57%

his one year is very good but only because he got killed in the crash. his 3 and five year returns are terrible.

About 99% of my intra-minute trading is on Autopilot so it's not all that difficult.

However, the same question could be asked of anyone who day trades. How how could anyone maintain focus simultaneously on trading and CNBC? Even back in the day 10-12 years ago when money was falling out of sky I always found CNBC distracting.

Quote from zdreg:

please explain how u manage to maintain focus simultaneously on both trading and the movie.
