FWIW, this overhaul is some similar to "financial reform". Essentially, take a broken system and layer on a whole bunch of new regulations and declare it "fixed". With this two party dysfunction, there is never any attempt to actually fix what is broken. Instead, we get a bunch of PR fluff and cosmetic "touch ups" to try and divide the populace along party lines and create an absurd "fix". It's nonsense.

Actually, this process began many, many years ago.

CAR companies are being told they have to meet fuel efficiency requirements. Consumers can purchase whatever car they want, or NOT purchase one. There is no parallel in your argument to the ACA. And, you ignored most of the relevant commentary he made regarding maternity and pediatric care.
