CME "Trade Against a Pro" Trading Challenge - December 8th Sunday - 13th Friday

I should stop trading stocks and equity options. How liquid are options on Futures?

I have no experience with them. I am trying to practice with them in this latest CME challenge, but their web-based simulator is wanting of depth. Ask dest, heh.

My gut tells me the liquidity will not be an issue on the major equity indices' options.

You're probably right. I'll pick them up for paper trading for a few months.

The website definitely sucks. I always thought futures were some magical thing but I made $750 on the simulator! I am the new Simons.

There is something else to consider here. You are trading the futures on the full margin. You don't have to treat this like day-trading per se. If you have open positions right now, you are, in effect, swing trading with overnight margins.

Ah interesting. I was joking about being the new Simons.

Yea, the required margin bit in your dashboard is talking into account the exchange-required minimums for all open positions. I have not even checked if they are giving SPAN discounts, because I have a mix of stuff in my current CME Institute sim account and they are unwieldy.
