CME, NYMEX, COMEX buying vs leasing

It looks like traders with a CME seat pay less exchange fees than traders who lease their seats. Is this the same for NYMEX and COMEX seats? Do traders who own a NYMEX seat or COMEX seat pay less exchange fees than traders who lease their seats? (I can't seem to find this info on the cme website http://www.cmegroup.com/company/clearing-fees/ It only shows the fee for members but not for those who decide to lease.)
 
For NYMEX and comex it's the same. Used to be that comex seat owners could also trade PL and PA at reduceded rates but the lessees could not. Not sure about that anymore. It's in the fine print somewhere if it matters to you. Nymex price is a good deal right now. I'd strongly recommend buying if possible.
 
Thanks, I have looked at the spreadsheet but I still don't know the fees for trading NYMEX contracts.

E.g. for CL
Non members pay USD1.45, members pay USD0.70 (or USD0.55 for day trades), IIPs pay USD0.77 but, how much to lease members pay?
 
To get clarity, call them and ask for Clearing fee support. They will help you. I have called them a number of times. Or, call your FCM.

As I said. Member rates and leassee rates are the same.
 
That seems to be the case for NYMEX but for COMEX it looks like member rates are lower.
E.g GC
Member pay USD0.70 (or USD0.55 for day trades) but, traders who lease have to pay either an additional trading fee of USD0.125 if the lease is registered in EFS or USD0.50 if it is not registered to the trader in EFS.

If my understanding is correct, I guess the lease should be more valuable for NYMEX than COMEX relative to their respective seat values.

Wow. I see that. That must be pretty new. I remember when they added footnote 3 in 2010 and other than the change in the day trade fee from 45 to 55c I didn't think there were any other changes. The CME is on some nickle and dime kick lately. I think there are 4 different profit centers between their market data servers and your eyeballs. Fees to access the data, fees to move the data, fees to look at the data, etc. Seems like they are trying to squeeze the last drop out of any of their remaining customers.

But they pay a nice dividend...
