The forthcoming Liquidity Exchange (ELX) is actually a Partnership of 12 financial institutions including:
Bank of America
Merrill Lynch
Barclays Capital
Citadel
Citigroup
Credit Suisse
Deutsche Bank Securities
eSpeed
GETCO
JPMorgan
Peak6
The Royal Bank Of Scotland
Been curious about why ELX is starting up rather than buying into ICE.
They are both bank consortiums with a bead on CME; Are they just
Interested in different sectors or will ELX move into energy etc.?
What are you guys hearing that are close to the action?
Thanks
