Got my short at 42, flippflopping alot here and not going with trend on this one.
However, this is 1min wedge breakdown, retest of upper lower trendline and fail. I always feel wedges on any timeframe offer amazing R:R and decent probability of winners.
Counter-trend to shorter term action with very tight stop - looking for a new LOD.
I could be wasting too many bullets here is some choppy action.
Needs to break 40 or this is straight up going to fail.

Horrible action so far, chop and slop with limited range means not good news for my trading.
Should have scalped for entries for a couple of points today
-3 pts so far today - damage not so bad. Still holding onto this 42 short, with tightened stop.
Stopped at 43 for -1.
Looking for longs, financials now leading big time and value is higher. Not deterred by the 3 small losses as this is part of my trading.
thats why volatility is important in trading...most days aren't worth trading unless your scanning multiple markets for the most volatile.. to refine opportunities.
but usually volatility coincides into other markets.

Your right Spectre, i was expecting some decent volatility today with Gap down and news but not to be so far.
As my plan aims for bigger gains i need a trend and im just getting chopped here regardless of how small the losses are.
I only have one strategy for balanced days like this but that does involve being extremely counter trend and basically picking close to top and bottom of the day. Using wider stops and basically trading the balanced days of market profile.
I will be taking a break after this trade and waiting for evening session to see if things pick up.
Would appreciate if you could share more nuggets of wisdom here as im sure we can all learn alot from your market expertise and experience.
