The repubs didn't criticize Clinton about Bin Laden much, until after 9/11, which means that they didn't think it was that important when Bush was president. Bush didn't run on a platform of stopping Bin Laden in 2000.
After Bin Laden was placed as the most important man to get, the engineer of 3,000 dead, did Bush get the job done?

Did they raise a stink about Bin Laden and the need to catch him as soon as possible under Clinton?
No. They made impeachment of Clinton job #1, a failed impeachment, an impeachment that was doomed from the start as everyone with half a brain knew the Senate wouldn't impeach, and Clinton would stay in office.

I'm not sure if the movie caused it, but I had a nightmare about Chicago being nuked, twice last night.
I was somewhere in the northern suburbs and could see the mushroon cloud on the horizon, I remember people scrambling with horror on their faces, running frantically in vain as the explosion closed in. I Must have woke myself sooner after that, I don't remember if I died or not.
I'm not prone to premonitions, or nightmares for that matter, but that had me pretty freaked-out.

Having been anti nukes for a long time, I am aware of the dangers. I just don't get hysterical about it.
