Democratic presidential contender Hillary Clinton has opened up a double-digit lead over Republican rival Donald Trump, regaining ground after the New York billionaire briefly tied her last month, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Friday.

Some 46 percent of likely voters said they supported Clinton, while 35 percent said they supported Trump, and another 19 percent said they would not support either, according to the survey of 1,421 people conducted between May 30 and June 3.

Trump had briefly tied Clinton in support among likely U.S. voters in May, raising expectations for a tight race between the two likely contenders in November's presidential election.

75 Dems - 52 Rs - 17 Is.

If you balanced the poll properly Trump might be in the lead it would really depend on the Is.

Remember:

November 5, 2012 :
Romney 49%, Obama 48% in Gallup's Final Election Survey

On one hand it is difficult to believe America would elect on obviously corrupt person to its highest office but then one remembers that America voted for Barrack Obama... twice!

The potential for epic stupidity is there and there is no reason to believe that our citizenry miraculously grew some brains over the last 8 years. If anything they have become, collectively, even more unintelligent than in the last two election cycles.

I would prefer that Donald Trump be president but I'm painfully aware of what America is capable of. There are calls for Hillary to *continue campaigning* even after she is indicted. The media is pre-greasing the skids.

For me personally the feeling is that the last adult left the room some time ago.

Do polls matter, or do they not matter? It seems like if the poll supports your guy, then its the biggest thing, if they do not, then it doesn't matter.

Secondly, I don't believe any polls involving Hillary Clinton. Eight months ago she was supposed to win all 50 states in the primaries and have the nomination wrapped up in March.

Eight years ago, she was supposed to win all 50 states and have the nomination wrapped up by March.
