Once again you assign your ignorance to science as a whole. They certainly DO know what's causing the oceans to warm. You don't. But they do.

I've got a question. Where's al gore when the temperature in Florida is the same as anchorage Alaska in the dead of winter? Hell, Seattle Washington is warmer than where I am in Florida. Wow!

"Only 2 per cent of Canadians who responded to a new opinion poll believe climate change is not occurring.

"The findings are in a survey conducted by Insightrix Research, Inc. for IPAC-CO2 Research Inc., a Regina-based centre that studies carbon capture and storage.

"The online poll of 1,550 people was done between May 29 and June 11. The results were to be released on Wednesday.

"“Our survey indicates that Canadians from coast to coast overwhelmingly believe climate change is real and is occurring, at least in part due to human activity,” said centre CEO Carmen Dybwad.

"Respondents were asked where they stood on the issue of climate change.

"Almost one-third – 32 per cent – said they believe climate change is happening because of human activity, while 54 per cent said they believe it’s because of human activity and partially due to natural climate variation. Nine per cent believe climate change is occurring due to natural climate variation.

"Two per cent said they don’t believe climate change is occurring at all."

"At least in part due to human activity"...yeah, therein lies the real problem. Lots believe it's just a part of the world's normal ebbs and flows. Who is correct?

Climate Change Groups Seek New Leadership as Green Movement Loses Momentum

Al-Gore-humph-reuters.jpg

It is unclear exactly why many climate change organizations are installing new executives, but it appears they are following the professional sports paradigm: When a team loses more than it wins, you can’t fire all the players, but you can fire the coach.

In the last decade the environmentalist have peddled harsh laws to install climate change strategies. However, many of these laws don’t pass, and new regulations fail to get traction. With global warming at a standstill for most of the last two decades and – much to Al Gore’s chagrin – plenty of ice still on the polar caps, more green groups are firing their CEO’s.

Next to go is Maggie Fox, president and CEO of the Al Gore-founded Climate Reality Project, who will be gone in the Spring. The group was previously called the Alliance for Climate Protection and was part of the unsuccessful environmental movement’s drive to enact cap-and-trade legislation in 2009-10.

Two other large U.S. environmental companies are giving the boot to their leaders. National Wildlife Federation President and CEO Larry Schweiger is leaving in May, and Natural Resources Defense Council President Frances Beinecke is also parting ways with his group in 2014.

Frank O'Donnell, president of Clean Air Watch, defended the changing of the guard. "It happens in every profession," he said; "An older generation gives way to a new one. In this case, a new generation of leaders needs to step up." However, this logic doesn’t fully explain why Greenpeace USA is canning Executive Director Phil Radford who is only in his late 30s, a clear member of that younger generation.

The oceans have only warmed 0.06 degrees total since 1960. This is well within natural norms. There is nothing to be excited about.
