Finally watched the speech to see what the fuss was all about. From my objective point of view, she seemed a bit off mentally, unrehearsed, and a bit insincere. No kid is so angry at that age, her oratory skills were lacking, and the "how dare you" bit was over the top. Shame really, they could've used some 3rd worlder brown kid with oratory training to give a much better pre-written speech that could've turned the hearts and minds of many. This was a put off and practically changed no one's mind.

What I don’t understand is why the Democratic Party does not use a practicing US environmental activist as their spokesperson? There is some real talent among many thousands of student volunteers in this country. Many of the students come from backgrounds that most of us can easily identify with.
I assume Greta comes from a wealthy and politically well connected family who want their daughter to get some recognition, but it may be a tough sell because Greta seems like a Matilda and seems to show a bit of a sociopathic streak with the way she answered some questions regarding her family.

What are you saying? Extreme weather is NOT a result of climate change as put forth by the UN's yearly findings?

Wow, good work if you can get it I guess. Although I don't think the pay is that good and things did not actually end all that well for the first Jesus so it is not for me.

The irony here is they are showing more awareness on the topic then most of the dumb asses in America that continue to outright deny Climate Change. You'd think the number of hurricanes, forest fires, and flooding would open up some eyes but apparently not.
Why would they? They're are at normal expected levels, not that you could prove any meaningful correlation in any case.
