Cleveland boy's death in police shooting declared homicide

I saw that as well. It'll be interesting to see if anything is done. However, since the police are no longer "protect and serve" but "shoot first and ask questions later unless it's white", I suspect he'll get off.

You do understand that a medical examiner declaring this a homicide does not mean murder, or any other criminal offense. Any death that is not of natural causes and/or by the hands of another will be declared a homicide by the medical examiner.

No need to inject what hasn't been said into the above. Unless you guys need an excuse for yet another right-wing rant.

This is the recent case where IMO it is most likely that the officer will be charged. We will see what happens.

The one complication in the case is that the 911 operator never passed information on on that the gun may be a toy. However the cop opened fire within 2 seconds of rolling up on the scene.

Yep. No command to comply just bang. Even the cops partner was totally dismayed.

"Rice was 5 feet 7 inches tall and 195 pounds, according to the autopsy report"

Sixth grade and 195 pounds? I saw the boy in the video and he didn't look that big. Maybe the fix is in already.

"The officer who shot Rice, Timothy Loehmann, had been on the Cleveland force for less than a year"

Oh, now is that an excuse or what?

Was there any question that it was a homicide? All that homicide means is that one person killed another. There was never any dispute.
