Clear things up: Is the FED buying Equities?

You are wondering why there is a disconnect between the economy in recession and the market. I am wondering that as well. The market is irrational most of the time , we know that. We may not know the reason. Nothing is gained by inventing one.

I am not wondering that at all. Take away Fed liquidity and you get a cratering.
 
(I assume you are aware that the U.S. fed does not buy equities.)

I'm afraid you'll have to look beyond your humdrum ET-like explanation,i.e., "the fed did it,'" if you want to try and understand the disconnect.
