Class action shareholder lawsuits

Has anyone ever signed on to these class action shareholder lawsuits? Do you ever get anything? I'm talking about the letter you get every once in a while from a law firm asking you if you want to join a class action lawsuit on a stock you owned a while back.

did once (bond holder in Marvel home of stan lee)...it was a total waste of time...the lawyers usually get it all, however there are times when the shareholders get taken care of properly (i have been approached by law firms to start class action against a company)

if the firm that sent you the letter is kirkland and ellis or lasalle national bank....just say NO!
