Check with SIPC and Interactive Brokers regarding the sweep.
SIPC may not cover the excess cash swept from your commodities account into your securities account. If that's the case, then you should read and understand this statement from the NFA:
Specifically, the FCM should disclose that by transferring excess funds from an FCM's customer regulated commodity accounts, the customer will not receive the preferential treatment afforded funds held in a customer regulated commodity account pursuant to CFTC Regulation Part 190 and the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
