Remember what I said yesterday about how today would likely be 'easy' based on the fact that I struggled yesterday?
Pattern of alternating winning/losing days is amazing, lol.

Might call it a day here and in theory should not trade at all tomorrow!

I'd go as far as to say that Pretty much nobody on this site has an 'edge' (by my definition), since I think of an edge as a clear advantage over others.

How can we had an advantage over others if all of us here are looking at the same things.

That Sellindevol666 guy clearly seems to have an 'edge' but I get the distinct feeling that he's not really using price actions/charts/TA etc to make his trading decisions.

My definition of an "edge" in trading is nothing more than a well-defined trading method whose win % combined with R:R produces a net profit over each series of N trades.

sellindexvol66 replied to someone a while back about how he obtains his "edge":

Sorry, TA is part of the model....how could it not be? Support , resistance, etc all works in my thinking.

Helluva an edge, Pinkman! Not only does it isolate your winning days from your losing days, it allows you to have more time off!

:D

Quote from NoDoji:

Here's a scalper's edge: Buy pullbacks to a rising 1-min 20EMA and sell pullbacks to a falling 1-min 20EMA.

The premise is that a rising or falling 20-period EMA indicates a trend in a given time frame and when you buy or sell pullbacks in a trend, "they" got your back more often than not.

Nodoji do you have a set system? Or do you just look at the market and say ok its time to take a long/short? Also, how do you know when to go for 20 ticks?

Asian stocks fell, trimming the best two-month rally for the regional benchmark gauge since the start of 2012, after the Federal Reserve fueled bets it may start paring stimulus sooner than previously forecast.

Tapering is inevitable, and that’s what you read from last night’s statement,” said Donald Williams, Sydney-based chief investment officer at Platypus Asset Management Ltd., which oversees about A$1.6 billion ($1.5 billion). “The timing is still unsure, but the market is going to price in the likelihood of tapering in the next six months at the latest.”
