1/ Crude oil prices rebounded towards the end of last week amid concerns that Tropical storm Karen would affect oil production in Gulf, home to 23% of US crude production, 5.6% of gas output and over 45% of petroleum refining capacity.

2/ The National Hurricane Center forecast that it would make landfall on Sunday on the southeastern tip of Louisiana.

3/ BP has shut down its oil and natural gas output in the Gulf while Exxon Mobil Corp suspended its output by 1K bpd of oil equivalent. Non-essential personnel have also been evacuated.

On the technical front, the weekly chart shows a bounce after hitting the upward trendline. The daily is also retesting its TL, which looks like it might be taken out in the coming days.

nice shorts guys, but the bear party seems over. Price action seems to be indicating a swing long, especially above 104. just thinking out loud.
