CL Redux

Thanks you.

No, I called it a day for CL after my last long, but the short you speak of is a high odds setup, IMHO, 1-2-3 setup on the 1min off the key level of a 5-min upper channel line (starting from the early part of the session) and in the zone of previous S becomes R (60-min chart). Lots of good reasons for a short there.

I don't use a constant stop size, but I rarely take a trade if I feel that a stop wider than 14 ticks would be required.

I had a tiny stop on the 102.10 because it was an intuitive trade, not a setup from my business plan. As soon as I put on the position I regretted not waiting for a "cleaner" setup and I saw all sorts of reasons not to be long at that moment in time, lol! I figured if .07 broke there was a very good chance price would drop to at least .00 if not lower.

So far i'm -8, -8, -6 and +25.

Couldn't post the last one as I just put in limit orders as I had to go and see the Doctor :(
(Sleep clinic soon. that should be fun)

It seems that in the morning here in the UK, i'm better off taking much smaller profits on my trades. It's always a little choppy, and often offers me +20 or so, only to then stop me out.

Or maybe I should just always wait until later in the day when more volume kicks in.

Either way, about breakeven so far this morning.

I'm sure you have traded Brent as an alternative yet you prefer CL. Curious as to what it is about CL you prefer. I recently realize that I'm also a British citizen even though I was born in NYC. Since my father was born in Liverpool it turns out the UK regards me as a citizen bt decent at birth and I can simply apply for a passport just like any other Brit. I'll do that at some point.

Lived in London twice -- six months each time -- and it's a great city with fabulous people.

It's not my day, but;
long 101.52
stop at 101.34

out here early at 101.48 for -4
Offered me +37 at one point.
crap day. price action felt completely random to me.
