a good read - How to Achieve Flexible and Dynamic Trading

http://blog.opentrader.com/how-to-be-flexible-and-dynamic-in-your-trading/

Can computers do this better than people or are they only as good as the programmer/trader?

Once I started keeping track of every trade, I mean printing the charts and writing down every thought and possibility I saw how patterns that fail are often even more profitable than the ones that work out. This helped me open my mind. This is the main reason I stopped trying to day trade because when something I saw didn't work out I would looking at a different time frames to find something that justified my original trade. BUT when you are trading daily's and weekly's there isn't anything to fall back on it either is or it isn't gonna work. The only problem is it can take a long time for a setup to form which is why I have to trade many different instruments.
