Do those here consider the 9 am EST open in CL to be as defined as the open in is ES? It seems the volume spike is generally not as dramatic. And what are the RTH's of Brent Crude on the European ICE?

Still new to CL but have had a few intraday swings of + 40t and I certainly like the energy. When you are right you get paid quite well for it.

I for one do consider the 9am open defined and I actually much prefer trading the CL open over the ES. Don't know the answer to your question #2, sorry.

seems 3:30am to 11:30 am EST, I'm more certain of the close time than the open. 3:30 does show a consistent volume spike, which is 8:30am London & 9:30 Berlin
