Question Ammo... Check out this weekly chart. That 93.70 void or i guess you call it cleavage that it tested and then got rejected, should that be done with now in my mind and the next "boob" or POC will form somewhere between there and some other low value area? For instance 88 or 89 could form a new POC with the low of the value area being around 82 or 84.

All that being said one bomb can change the whole picture :)

and we are working this one , we dropped to the 88 and back up, we have unfinished biz at 86,so once we start using the 92-91 nip as resistance we can clean up the bottom of the chart ..in theory

Sorry I didn't see this post and it just answered my question more or less :p

thats in theory, have'nt worked out which timeframes to use so have to look at a lot of them, each timeframe gives a different set of targets,on a slow choppy day you can look at a small timeframe and if it turns into a trend day it's a must that you know the larger timeframes in advance,i learned this charting it by hand ,so a lot of stuff it does is learned from repetition, not needing an explanation, gives you an intuition that you couldn't explain, your hand learns where it's going as it waits to mark that box, then just apply that to the larger timeframes...i need to hand chart every so often for a tuneup

Kid, I read the AB refresher article -- thanks for it. As much as I have learned from Al's work I have always had a problem with his small scalp / large stop approach. Do we suspect he trades 4 tick scalps with 8 tick stops? It seems unworkable to me.

And thanks to all for their advice in response to my question. I have read many of Donna's post in the past and, now that I am more seriously interested in CL, going back to reread her posts as well as read SteveH for the first time.

I have problems with that, too, and I don't trade that way. I don't scale in or out, nor do I scalp anything less than .20 unless a stop-and-reverse sets up or S/R is tested more than once and fails.

I completely understand the methodology behind small scalps/large stops, and I know exactly how it's done. It's a very advanced tactic and it's a solid profitable tactic, but it's not my cup of tea.
