CL Redux

Way to hold on to her V well done!

I haven't read or listened to news all week and I've been crushing it so I have no idea what is going on except for March options expire today and I need this thing to stay above 105 at the close and then it can tank tonight.

Release from reuters of inacurate report that US and Brtain were going ot release reserves.

Zero hedge is saying virtually the entire non-parked naval fleet will be in the Arabian Sea and Persian Gulf in the next 4-6 days, where 3 aircraft carriers and one big-deck amphibious warfare ship are just waiting for the order.

I think they took it down to buy the hell out of it. IMO

My dad totaled a ZR1 one time when he was wasted he drove into some marsh. It was hysterical and sad at the same time. When he lost his license (this was his 2nd DWI, his 1st happened because some guy at the liquor store called the cops and told them he was driving) he started taking the bus to work and he learned some Spanish. Even after he got his license back he continued to take the bus to work. I'm not sure if that is what you mean by "Zr1"trader but there is a story for you non the less :)

 :D  Too Funny about the car!

The other day I was asking about what would happen with a market order all in at once with 3000 lots and how many levels it would take out. Well today it looks like it happened. Moved 68 cents all at once.:p

Interesting roller coaster ride today, 106, 104, 105, currently 105.60.
While the SPR release was denied, one can't help but think that the subject came up in the meeting yesterday between Cameron and Obama. And it would only make sense that the Obama Admin should make some move to lower prices (at some point, presumably timed to optimize perception among the electorate).
I personally think they're out trying to gain additional support from other countries to make a concerted release of SPR-like reserves. And now they've seen what effect it will have.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the probability of SPR release? Timing?
Thoughts on why it has such a dramatic effect? (it really doesn't make sense to me that announcing that you'll be releasing a day or two's global oil demand should depress prices by 2%).

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/03/16/us-usa-spr-capacity-idUSBRE82F05Q20120316.. truth or fiction, bottom of article says oil to east coast refineries is where its needed most and this release can't get it there, the places it can deliver dont really need more, after reading article, wonder if there is any shortage at all, prices just result of hoarding ,not mentioned in article.

Perhaps it's the effect of long only commodity index funds. Are you short biased?

By the way, it looks like some posts are deleted.

just believe(tin hat) that this market is totally gamed/manipulated by the houses/banks and there is no shortage, nor release of oil,why use emergency when there are 100's /1000's of tankers holding/hoarding because land tanks are full, just puppet DC/obama spewing for re election
