CL Redux

was stopped out at 650
Oh, no! Shoot. Should have gotten back in. Oh, well. No biggie. You'll get it back and more.

Went back to bed. Just got up. Looks like there was some pretty obvious trading. Sorry I missed it. Looking for my account to be available again after the withdrawal.

I guess my trades would be considered more of a scalp compared to you guys since your stops are much larger than my profits, but very happy with my long blue sky trade on CL May.

Goal for today was for full target and to walk away with a win or a loss. I got the win. I also was able to get up early enough to take a nice piece of this action. This was still not early enough to get into the 1st leg of the up move, but caught some of the 2nd leg.

Yesterday, I had no trades although in hindsight I saw one that I should have taken, but some of the problem was not getting up a tiny bit earlier.

I don't think one needs to get up at 5 am PST, but you don't want to sleep most of the trading day either.

It kind of looks like this week has just formed a daily bull flag which would break out above some where around 107.80. I'm just not getting any good looks short term on this thing. 106.30 to 105.70 -.30 would be free money and a break out above 107.30 would be free money but this mess just sucks.

The Globex session runs all night in the U.S. Ask Visaria who lives in the UK. And some of the best moves sometimes happen in the middle of the night here. Like early this morning.

I live in California. It's 5 AM here. Too early. I'm not a morning person and I hate getting up early. But some of the best and most "obvious" moves come early, although it moves throughout the day obviously. So I get up. Wish I lived in the Eastern time zone. 8 AM now is much more civilized than 5 AM. And it's even more civilized hours in Europe. One trader here, cornixforex, lives in Russia.

Thanks, BCE.

I dream of living in California one day, but the time zone is simply not very trader friendly. :)

Long 680. I'm gonna try again, BCE. :D
I could see it had stalled out @106.92 so I did a sim short (just fooling around while I wait for my account to be available) and it filled @106.74 while I was gone, which was just above the 50 day EMA. If I had been minding it I would have gotten more. But since it was only a sim trade, $180 or $500 in sim money = $0 in real money as we know. :)

Today was a good day to trade. Sorry I missed it.

I'm really tired today and don't even feel like trading. Too many hours sitting in front of this computer. Been a long haul here lately. But I'm feeling happy today, and looking forward to good things going forward. Just focused on good things. So that's good. :)

ADD: And of course one reason I'm so happy is I know you'll be giving me all that money you promised me V. So that's great. :p

It is nice here. A great state, except for the price of living along the coast. But that's true in a lot of coastal communities. I live in Santa Barbara. It's very expensive here. Hey, Oprah has a $100 million house here. :)

As far as the hours go, I don't necessarily have to get up that early, but I have been. It seems like there are a lot of opportunities the first few hours especially, and if you play them right no need to sit here all day like I did yesterday. What a long drawn out day that was. Shoot. Ha. A while back I wasn't getting up early but it was working out okay as when I logged in I'd find a good trade. Varies obviously. NoDoji was on my case to get my ass out of bed early, weren't you BellaDonna? Ha. True. She just wanted me to do well as she did most everyone.
