I suppose if you're on the right side of it's fine, but it adds an element of randomness to the market that we just don't need as traders. News-driven spikes are different and even when the news is not scheduled, they're still calmer. This type of spike (though this one was not that large) does no good to us unless we happen to be lucky and already in a trade going the right way.
